Simple

A simple sentence is literally simple, with only one part e.g. "I walked the dog".

not ornate or luxurious; unadorned: a simple gown.

Compound

A comound sentence is a sentence with 2 parts e.g. "I walked the dog, to the park".

composed of two or more parts, elements, or ingredients:
Soap is a compound substance.

having or involving two or more actions or functions:
The mouth is a compound organ.
3.
Grammar.
of or pertaining to a compound sentence or compound-complex sentence.

Complex

A compleax sentence has 3 or more parts. The sentence has to be able to make sense without the middle sections e.g. "I walked the dog, to the park, we had a very good time".
